Project Summary
In order to attract more solar cooks to our bi-annual potlucks, members of the Solar Guild and Citizens for Solar are currently leading a series of "Do-It-Yourself" workshops on how to build your own passive heating solar oven. The good folks at Xerocraft have provided us with the perfect venue with which to host this series of classes. Participants can come away, confident with the knowledge that they can build their own functional solar oven, either at home, or using the wide assortment of community tools available at Xerocraft. We hope to cover all of the various types of ovens that are available, such as the box, evacuated tube, and parabolic dish styles to name a few.
