Citizens for Solar held our 37th Annual Solar Potluck at Catalina State Park on Saturday, April 27, 2019. The weather was great, with cloudless skies, little wind and temperatures in the mid-80s.
About a dozen people came out to cook with us, and we were able to offer a wide range of food, from chili to upside down cake. There were several homemade solar ovens in use, as well as Sun Ovens, Go Sun evacuated tube cookers, parabolic dishes, and a SHE Hot Pot.
Attendance was the best we've had in several years, and the people that I spoke to really seemed to enjoy seeing the various solar cookers, tasting food samples and listening to our speakers and musicians.
The Potluck dinner featured numerous dishes to the roughly 50 folks who dined with us.
